Shri my son,

You should bear this in your mind:

 

There are three things that should not be forgotten:

The Guru full of grace,

The enlightened Buddha

Memory and consciousness.

There are three things that should be remembered:

The preceptor who commands you,

The teachings that reveal the path,

And discipline.

There are three things you must have:

A mind that stays where this body,

A body to remain in the right place,

A mind that more in a relaxed state.

There are three things that are best forgotten:

Anger against enemies,

Attachment to loved ones,

The lazy sleep.

There are three things that are better restrict:

The language in public,

Hand in private,

The thoughts always.

There are three things that one should keep silent:

Your own virtues,

The faults of others,

Our intentions for the future.

There are three things that one should not show:

The urge to give up worldly attachments,

The baited trap of hypocrisy itself,

The insistence on displaying religious fervor itself.

There are three things that one should be flexible:

Talking with a friend,

Wearing the country’s clothing,

Directing the mind towards the Dharma.

There are three things that should not be heard:

Adulatory words,

Talks latest craze,

Council from a fool.

There are three things one should not covet:

The fortune of a rich man,

A category position,

Superfluous dresses.

There are three things that one should not speak ill:

A respected person,

Another’s merchandise,

A good friend.

There are three things one should not praise:

 

A man who is reviled by others,

A presumptuous crazy person,

Your own child in front of others.

There are three things that one should neither praise nor criticize:

Family members,

A man whom you do not know,

Actually, no one.

There are three places you should not go:

Among hostile people,

In a massive agglomeration,

To a place where you bet.

There are three things that should not be talked about:

Dharma to people that do not want to hear it,

Private matters with strangers,

Nonsense fantasy.

There are three things that should not be done:

Behave temperamentally with a friend,

Speaking inconsequentially,

Act with two faces.

There are three things that one should refrain:

Boast of self-importance,

Suddenly point out the faults of others,

Belittle others.

There are three things one should not offer:

Devotion to a charlatan,

Gifts to those of higher rank,

The infinite thoughts to anyone.

There are three things that one should not leave on the mind:

The body of beautiful girls,

The conduct of a friend,

Your onw virtues.

There are many other things you should remember, but the essential is to observe yourself at all times. Do not forget, both worldly and spiritual practice are contained here. These few words are full of deep meaning, do not ignore it.
